Conclusion

The system of Mahdi will brighten the world like the sun and hypocrisy will be stopped by the occasion of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)

The struggle between good and evil began at the time of the Prophet Adam (pbuh) and will continue until the Final Hour. In every period of history, there has been an immense negative force pushing people toward evil and denial, which is called the ‘antichrist’. All kinds of ideologies that detract people from the tenets of religion and instigate mischief and confusion represent the ‘antichrist’. The Divine power against evil, which defuses the antichrist’s mischief and brings people to the true path, is called ‘the system of Mahdi’.

This struggle between good and evil, between satan and God, has persisted since the early ages. The struggle between the Prophet Abraham (pbuh) and Nimrod, and also the Prophet Moses (pbuh) and Pharaoh are the most known instances in history for recurring ‘Antichrist - Mahdi struggles’. In our time, which is known as ‘End Times’, this struggle happens between the Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and the antichrist. As throughout history, ‘Hypocrites are again the biggest force of the antichrist in the End Times. The antichrist is allied with satan, evil, unbelievers and hypocrites, and the bitter struggle against the system of Mahdi continue with forces at its command.

According to the law of God, there has always been a ‘spiritual leader’, who leads Muslims in preaching the true religion, invites them to the true path and struggles to spread Islamic moral values around the world. Therefore, in the End Times, the person who is going to direct people toward the morality of the Qur’an and to the right path and gather them under a single roof is ‘Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), by God’s will, is going to intellectually neutralize the antichrist, who leads every kind of irreligious ideology and belief system, dragging people to denial and detracting them from religious ethics. Hazrat Mahdi (Pbuh) will spread the tenets of Islam throughout the world.

One of the most important characteristics of the system of the Mahdi is that it is an anti-hypocrite movement. In other words, the system of the Mahdi is not only a movement opposing the antichrist, but also opposing hypocrites, who represent antichrist. God created the Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) with a special spiritual power. Identifying and neutralizing hypocrites requires the ability of a Mahdi. In other words, the system of the Mahdi is a “hypocrite hunting” system. God sent the Mahdi (pbuh) to the Islamic world with the skills of ‘a savior’ and granted him ‘this special talent’.

A hadith of our Prophet (pbuh) reads: “In the time of Hazrat Mahdi’s (pbuh) leadership, the reign of tyrants and oppressors and the dominion of hypocrites and traitors will come to an end.” (Al-Mahdi al-Maw'ud, vol. 1, p. 252).It draws attention to God’s grace on the Mahdi (pbuh). With the occasion of the Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), antichrists, unbelievers, hypocrites, deep states, terrorists, tyrants, traitors and arrogant people will lose their influence and dominance over society.

The prominent Islamic scholar Bediuzzaman Said Nursi said that the hypocrite movement would end with the Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) in the world. He said: “Behind a screen of duplicity, a fearsome individual named the Sufyan will deny the messengership of Muhammad (pbuh), and coming to lead the dissemblers, will try to destroy the Islamic Shari‘a. To oppose him, a luminous individual called Muhammad Mahdi of the Family of the Prophet (pbuh) will assume leadership of the people of sainthood and perfection, who are bound to the luminous line of the Prophet’s (pbuh) family, and he will kill the current of dissemblers, which will consist of the collective personality of the Sufyan, and scatter it.” (Letters - 15th Letter, p. 56-57). In the End Times, hypocrites will be ideologically rendered ineffective by the occasion of the Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Maybe deep down they will not give up hypocrisy and will not believe sincerely, but they will stop taking hypocritical actions.

In a hadith, our Prophet (pbuh) says: “Many more people will avoid committing a sin because of the fear of the Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) instead of the Qur’an (Al-Futuhat al-Makkiyah, p. 6). As mentioned in the hadith, hypocrites will not fear God but they will dread Hazrat Mahdi’s (pbuh) wisdom, powerful foresight and prudence. Our Prophet (pbuh) said “... the Mahdi will recognize hypocrites from their signs.” (Yawm al-Khalas, Kamel Sulayman, p 135). As related in the hadith, Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will immediately identify the hypocrites. Since hypocrites know this, they will fear conducting insidious activity. Ultimately, they will not have the courage or power for corruption and will end their hypocritical actions and will have to live like a Muslim. Our Prophet (pbuh) mentioned Hazrat Mahdi’s (pbuh) spiritual hegemony over hypocrites in a hadith:

... From Abu Bashir: Imam Jaffar Sadik said this about the verse: “You would know them by their mark” (Surah Muhammad, 30): God knows them, however this verse has been revealed concerning the Qaim [Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)]. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will know them (the hypocrites) from their faces and with his community, he will (intellectually) destroy them. (Sheikh Muhammad ibn Ibrahim Numani, al-Ghaybah al-Numani, p. 283)

As mentioned in another hadith, “When the enemy of God, the antichrist, sees the Prophet Jesus (pbuh), he [the antichrist] will dissolve like salt in the water,”  (Sahih Muslim, Book 41, 6924). Just like the disappearance of system of antichrist ‘like the salt in water’ against truth, hypocrites in the Islamic word will lose all their power and influence before Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) in the same way.

Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), with inspiration from God, will annihilate hypocrites’ ‘covertness’, which is their most important weapon, and will reveal their ignominy and evil methods with his wisdom. Thus, all advantages that hypocrites have obtained so far will be destroyed and the hypocritical system, which is unidentified, unknown, and indefinable by people, will be revealed. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will annihilate the secrecy of hypocrites and their ruses.

Yet hypocrites are ‘like bats’. Bats, when they see the sun or light, are scattered and look for a place to hide. Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will reveal them by putting a spotlight on them. Wherever they escape to, they will know that he will catch them intellectually and this will prevent them from displaying immoral behavior. God will send Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) as a savior to Islamic world. This is a blessing from God for Mahdi and a mercy for believers. The Islamic world will regain its long-awaited prosperity, peace and happiness by Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) at God’s will.

ADNAN OKTAR: “Identifying hypocrites completely will close all doors for them during the time of reign of Islamic moral values, led by Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Now we’re making preparations for that. The hypocrites’ mortification, the recognition of them as being hypocrites and the world’s becoming almost uninhabitable for them shall happen in the time of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Accordingly, hypocrites shall indispensably give up showing signs of hypocrisy and discord. That’s why hypocrites’ signs will never be seen in the times of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). I don’t mean there will be “no hypocrites” during the time of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), but we are not going to see any signs of them. Because hypocrites will be so obvious that everyone will know who they are right away. The fear of being revealed simply paralyzes hypocrites. Although they may shut their ears and eyes in this period, when it’s time for Islamic morality to prevail in the world, hypocrites will not have the strength to close their eyes and ears.

That’s why we are paving the way to help Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). We’re making preparations so that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will not face any hypocrite.

What does Bediuzzaman say? “Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will (intellectually) eliminate the current of hypocrites.” The main thing he is going to do is this: ‘intellectually eliminating the current of hypocrites’. This is a comprehensive task. So he will do so with books, CDs and articles, everything that is necessary to keep this issue in the headlines. That way, wherever they go, the hypocrites will see that all ‘signs of hypocrites’ are revealed. Every time he uses the Internet, turns on the radio or watches the TV, he will meet with signs of hypocrites. There will be no place left for him to run or hide. When hypocrites go to a place where people are talking, they will hear it and this will prevent those filthy beings from harming Muslims. This is what is going to happen in the End Times. So it doesn’t mean that there will not be any hypocrites. Despite the fact they are mentioned in the Qur’an, people don’t know them in practice. Since they cannot currently be described exactly, and since people do not know how the explanations of hypocrites in the verses reflect in our daily lives, they do whatever they want freely in Islamic world. For example, people call someone “a great Islamic scholar”, but in fact he is a hypocrite. Or people say “great interpreter of Islamic law”, but in reality he is a hypocrite. People cannot realize this. They gather around and defend him like crazy. In reality, he is a ferocious hypocrite. But if hypocrites were described clear as a day, and if everyone were able to memorize their signs, they would not have a place in this world. Hypocrites would drown in the holy light of faith. They would have no strength to hide their faces, for they would be revealed.

That is why keeping signs of hypocrites on the agenda, making people memorize them and talking about them helps to destroy their living space in this world. When this happens, Muslims will live in a world without any hypocritical activity. This will bring them great luxury, comfort, abundance, and power.” (A9 TV, June 6th, 2016)
